NABERS Indoor Environment, Energy, Waste and Water

The NABERS suite of rating tools allows building owners, managers and occupants to compare the performance of their buildings with others around Australia.  Tools are currently available to rate Energy, Water, Waste and Indoor Environment in commercial office buildings, and Energy and Water in Hotels and Retail facilities.

Under the Building Energy Efficiency Disclosure Act 2010, the disclosure of a valid NABERS Base Building Energy Rating has been required prior to entering into negotiations concerning the sale or lease of most commercial office accommodation in excess of 2000m².

QED Environmental Services participated in the Working Group for the development of the NABERS Indoor Environment and Waste Rating tools and has been actively involved in the refinement of the Indoor Environment tool since its introduction.

QED Environmental Services has provided rating services across the entire NABERS Office suite of tools for clients including Knight Frank, Jones Lang LaSalle and CB Richard Ellis, covering portfolios owned by Investa Property Group, Colonial First State and Dexus Property Group.
